In July 2003 Frank Gowder joined the Clubbers, and was recognized as a key ingredient to the future of the team. At 5'-10" Gowder's "panther like" speed and outstanding power were immediately evident when he hit consecutive back to back home runs in two tournament games played in the August 2003 Thillens 12 year old tournament, earning him a spot in the Thillens Baseball Hall of Fame. Frank demonstrated his value as a power Pitcher and Catcher during the 2003 Fall Suburban Power League Season. Gowder will also play 3rd Base, Shortstop, and Outfield positions.

Prior to joining the Clubbers, Frank played for the Dawes Park Monarchs. As a 10 year old player on this team, the Monarchs were the Dawes Park AFC Champions. Notable players on the Monarchs with Frank were Dominique Bell, "Dae" Bowden, Angelo Burrage, and John Mason.

During the summer of 2003 the Monarchs with Bowden, Burrage, Gowder and Mason played for the AFC League 12 year old Championship but lost to the Stars team which included Clubber teammates Christian Hickman, Chris Mason and Ryan Williams.

"Impossible is Nothing" and believing is inspiration and believing results in doing! Later in the month of April Frank took over the game by hitting 2 Grand Slam Home Runs in a game vs the Windy City Wildcats played at the University of Illinois. Go Frank!
