"Dae" is another product of the renowned Chicago Dawes Park baseball program where he has played since the age of 5 and has baseball in his genes with two older brothers who played semi-pro ball. "Dae" is a natural hitter with lightning fast hands and a compact explosive swing who hits for power when ever he is at the plate. With a bat in his hands he is absolutely lethal! On the base paths he has outstanding presence and speed. As a ten year old he played for the Dawes Park Monarchs who were the elite team and the 10 year old AFC Champions. Notable players on this team with Bowden were Dominique Bell, Angelo Burrage, Frank Gowder and John Mason.
During the summer of 2003 Bowden was a "Golden Glove" in Center Field for the Dawes Park Monarchs and hit clean-up slamming 10 big home runs. The Monarchs with Bell, Bowden, Burrage, Gowder and Mason were a lock to advancing to the 12 year old AFC Championship game but lost to the Stars team which included Clubber teammate Ryan Williams. We are very pleased to welcome "Dae" to the 2004 Clubber team and view him as one more franchise player who will be a big run producer and helping us score Big Time!
Bowden attends Betty Shabazz International Charter School where he is a top student and is a member of the Panthers basketball team where he plays Small Forward
